Black Noteby JacquiDComment: 2 - Different - but concept not holding my attention, plus focus on the cd a little better may have helped give this something extra. The oof effect is quite nice, however for this Challenge, the frame/foreground subject needs to be more dominant & defined overall, in my opinion. Ultimately, I see a shot of a key viewed through the hole of a cd, without any strong and unusual elements required to make this 'special'. |

let's play. the storm is over.by gocComment: 1 - Without your title, on quick glance, no idea what this is. The framing you have used is compositionally 'off' plus a silhouette. Choice of subject within frame does not seem to have been calculated. |

Saint Marys Lakeby tooterComment: 6 - Nice. Good control of the dof. Difficult, but perhaps a more finely tuned crop, especially left & right, make this better in my opinion. A little more foliage/branches on the right would have been good but - there ya go. Also, 'somehow' just gaining a little more depth/drama - but no idea how, especially in basic. |

Jonathan Livingston Seagullby Rando D300Comment: 6 - Good. Despite seemingly beginnings of some gamma type issues in the blacks (and could just be deliberate processing), the processing works well here, except the fact that Jonathan looks a fraction too contrasted - but could also be focal issues. Visually, just looks like it needs a whisker nudge rotation up on the left - but I can see it might throw out the alignment at the base of the pillars. |

grainby blacjackComment: 2 - Like this shot on its own, especially colors - but for this Challenge, struggling to see a true 'framing' here. |

Sshhhh....by sauravsahaComment: 3 - Good potential. Looks like some gamma issues in the darker areas of the frame. A more finely tuned crop and variation in composition and slight shift of focus on the frame, make this better in my opinion. edit:typo Message edited by author 2006-06-21 07:57:48. |

Angel in My Windowby bgslawComment: 3 - A little more frame incorporated and focus (difficult) a little sharper on it, make this better in my opinion. Variation in cropping also, for added 'balance'. |

Simplicityby ozerionComment: 3 - Difficult, but the 'frame' in better focus and looks like possibly contrast/saturation issues overall. Also difficult, but a variation in cropping, depending what you had to work with, also likely helped this in my opinion. |
