Fandango Hibiscusby The EskimoComment: 5 - Really like this concept, make a good study of a hibiscus. For a (seemingly) macro such as this, I'd like to see a lot more detail, overall looks too soft. Sharpest focus seems to be on the stem behind the stigma/stigmata... just wish the dof was a little deeper to include the tips of the 'balls'. Colors are nice. Perhaps also a little more top and bottom, to make it 'bigger', but difficult with the size restrictions. Nice title. |

The Breakfast of Botanistsby LoreneComment: 7 - Certainly different. Like the concept. Good color combinations. Perhaps a variation in angle/perspective may have given this a little extra. Fairly minor, but the lighting & background/base gives this a bit of a slightly 'sterile' type feel overall in my opinion. Difficult, but if the flowers on the spoon were as well focussed, etc as the ones in the bowl, also make this better. Like your title. |

Tiny Yellow Flower (Extreme Macro)by dwterryComment: 6 - Like the concept, fairly good macro, good and unusual shallow dof in the center. Variation in composition, bringing in more space and 'balance', as well as a more refined crop, especially top left, make this better in my opinion. Not sure on the frame. |

Dessert in Bloomby LucidLotusComment: 6 - Nice flower, and food shot - just looks like it is 'cut off' at the base/bottom, which the frame emphasizes. Perhaps a variation in the composition, with the flower more centered, or different angle, make this better in my opinion. |

pink roseby aznymComment: 6 - Nice study. Difficult with the pp / effects, however more texture/detail make this better in my opinion. |

The Pitby SherwinJamesComment: 6 - Like the concept. Difficult, but sharper for what seems to be a macro, more definition in the textures and overall more balance compositionally - possibly more height, more off-center as well, not sure - make this even better in my opinion. Not sure on the frame. Like the title. |

Elderberryby rioloboComment: 7 - Very nice. Toning works well. Like the composition and crop/framing. Difficult, but perhaps the slightest nudge rotate up on the left, although not sure on that. The detail is likely there 'bigger', however just to discern a bit more in this, but could be the coloring/toning effect, diminishing the detail and causing areas to seem slightly 'blown'. |

Visitorsby pedahel7Comment: 8 - Very nice. Difficult, not only because of the 'opportunity capture', but any changes to the dof would lose the good effect(s) you currently have, however 'if only' the two bugs in perfect focus as well. A slight variation in cropping, especially on the left, and depending what you had to work with, more included on the right for added balance overall compositionally, make this even better in my opinion. |

Pink Dahliaby Bear_MusicComment: 7 - Nice. Overall, just looks like it needs a fraction nudge up on the right for added 'balance'. Difficult, but even more definition in the petal tips, make this even better in my opinion. Nice color(s). |

Hail The Queen!by charmayneComment: 8 - Very nice. Like to see a little more detail in the Queen's petals. The 'wave' of the pad in the background is a nice effect - somehow incorporating more of that, might have given this even more of an edge in my opinion. Like your title. |
