Last Breath Of A Winter Nightby h2Comment: Nice lighting and warm colors for such a cold scene. Nice elevated position to capture the fog well. Nice scene, although it being a stadium or arena of some description perhaps makes the scene a bit more 'ordinary'. The best aspect of this image in my opinion is the fog, so I do wonder about a variation in subject to allow that to dominate the image, almost totally - but that is a different image. Obviously your choice to photograph the fog covering this building/scene. Framing works well, and does make it look like a still from a movie. It is a shame to receive no comments during a Challenge, especially with a fine photograph. I didn't get to this during voting, but hypothetically, perhaps a 6 or 7. edit:typoMessage edited by author 2008-03-08 07:03:15. |

Dreaming of Springby jpochardComment: In response to your request for feedback - I don't mind the centered composition, although with the yellow at the rear, perhaps a little more space or more color on the right for added balance. I think the biggest criticism would be the main flower is too dark, perhaps tweaking in pp may have brought it to life more. Otherwise, I like the effect produced by the oof flowers behind and also the bokeh is very nice. I didn't get to this while voting, but hypothetically, perhaps a 6 - it has potential. |

Meile and Macby JutildaComment: I gave this an 8. Nice candid moment and I have to say, the dog is my favorite. Mainly the vignetting a little more subtle around the heads, would have made this even better in my opinion (and a more refined crop bottom right). Nice image. |

The Long Way Homeby jerseyjimComment: Nice scene. Perhaps cropping this tighter at the bottom to eliminate the slightly distracting road, may have made this a stronger image (although you may prefer it in), and also 720 if the quality was there would have given more impact. Nice sky/clouds. Like the distant focus. Looks like something 'odd' happening in the trees just to the right of the pole, could be pp, but apologies in advance if wrong. |

Lookby tmphComment: 7 - Nice portrait. Perhaps a little tighter crop on the left as the rusting metal dominates a little too much (although fairly minor) in my opinion. |

Sunday Afternoon Drive in Februaryby bobonacusComment: Nice capture, I wonder about a much tighter crop, to both eliminate the bystanders on the right especially, but also to bring the gravel/dirt and motion into the spotlight more. |
