Summer's Joyby KatheComment: I bet that was a fun day. I'd really like to see the eyes in this shot and an off center cropping. I'd take off the left 1/4th. Nice emotion. I'd like to meet this boy. |

Glowby jackal9Comment: Beautiful eyes, nice expression. Not sure about the processing, it doesn't seem to add for me. |

Cliffsby faidoiComment: I think your sky gives a feeling of being flatter than the image really is. The other thing that happens with the sky is the horizontal split dividing the picture in half. That "Rule of 1/3s" is not used here. On DPC, using a 1/2 split instead of a 1/3 compostion can make the difference in several tenths of a point.
So, in answer to your question of, "How could I have gotten a higher score?" you might have garnered a few tenths with a crop taking "a bit off the top." |

incognitoby boysetsfireComment: The headless spectator gives this shot such a sense of strangeness. It sets me to asking all kinds of questions. How did he do that? Is this a metaphor? symbolism? what exactly is being said here? I feel a sense of aloneness in the middle of a world that doesn't seem to care. |

The Monolithby ArtysteComment: Obviously not the DPC eye candy, but an impressive shot none the less. Very strong mood and presence. Yes, some different PP would increase the mass appeal, but the essence of the huge monolith fighting a losing battle against the sky would crumble. |

deadhrse_9948m1.jpgby f-32Comment: David, this shot has a great feel with the pink sky against the red rock. I like it with even less sky, placing the river curve in the center. Nice. |
