Conjuring the Cloudsby KarenNfldComment: I don't remember seeing this the first time, but the graph shows that I voted it a 9 then.
This time, it provoked me to immediately say "wow" out loud. |

Schermer Windmillby AzrifelComment: Beautiful composition, lighting and blues. I don't see too many windmill shots with snow on the ground.
I've got to go back to visit the Netherlands again sometime. |

Psst, Over Hereby yakatmeComment: Originally posted by CalliopeKel: Mega Cool. I would be scared in the water with those. Is that fresh or salt water? |
They are in salt water in this photo, but they sometimes move inland through brackish water and eventually into fresh water. They follow and feed on schools of mullet. In this photo, they congregate near a pier where they are fed daily by people who pay to do so. They don't have any teeth, just coarse bony plates in their mouths. They can actually be fed by hand (I've done it several times). |

IMG_5041_smallby RikkiComment: Really nice shot. I like how you captured the room from the floor to the ceiling. I'm very curious as to which lens you used and the settings. |

Father and Sonby debitiptonComment: Great application of Skiprow's suggestions. I like this enough to try it with me and my son. I expecially like the crop and how the painted in photo works with the crop on the father. |

Collared Lizardby NaldComment: Good focus, DOF, and great colors on the lizard. I'm curious as to how close you were to the lizard, what focal length you used, and how much you cropped. I can't get very close to lizards and iguanas, they seem a lot shyer that this one. |

Aquatic Wavesby sherpetComment: Beautiful. It looks like the bottom is a perfect reflection on water of the top half. I'd like to play around with this concept when I find the time. Just added it to my favorites. |

Golden Lotus at McKee Botanical Gardensby rox_roxComment: I believe that is a lotus flower (not quite sure of the name) on a Chinese ornamental banana plant. I'll look it up and update this post.
edit to add: yep, you got it right, the one on that website in your PM is exactly what this is. Message edited by author 2006-04-17 15:44:59. |
