Nice concept here. Would have scored MUCH higher if the view through the glasses was in focus, too.

Great concept, nice exposure. Humorous! Can't figure out if the white, textureless background helps or hurts the image but I do find it a bit distracting.

I keep coming back to this and wonder why I don't give it a higher mark. I think it's because there might be a little too much background at the top and the skin tones are to cool for my liking. I would have scored it much higher as a black and white.

A good capture! Probably would have scored a bit higher if the crop wasn't so tight.

A pretty good photo but would have scored higher if there was a bit more contrast.

I would have scored this shot much higher if one thing were corrected - the placement of the green eye. It's much to low and close to the nose so it appears unnatural. OK, so a green glowing eye isn't supposed to be natural, but I hope you get my meaning. ;)

Technically the shot is very good: nice composition, good DOF, brilliant color, etc. On a personal note, something bothered me so much that I could not give it more than a six. Personally, I prefer the face to be one entity that gives me a clue as to what the subject is feeling. In this photo the subject is so close that I have to look at each eye and the mouth seperately to figure out the emotion. A wider crop on this shot would have earned a much higher mark from me.

What made me stop and look? The appeal (for me) in the photo is that the people are in groups of two or more. I don't think the shot would draw as many views otherwise. The composition is good and the hazy depth is a key element. Nice work.

For those who asked about how I did this: It was a 25 sec. exposure. Zooming during the first ten seconds or so gives the ethereal background. The remaining time burns the foreground image more prominantly. Too bad I used the software provided by Nikon to import the photo to my PC!
