DSC_4135submitweb.jpgby irishempressComment: I like the move candid nature of this shot. At first I was thinking the color was kind of flat as well, but the more I look at it, I just think the aperature just made the background really soft, which is fine with me. If you look at the red on the jersey, the colors do appear to be nice and vivid. Well done :).
Looks like a good Norfolk boy :)! |

DSC_4154submitweb.jpgby irishempressComment: Nice picture and good aperature use with this one. The colors are much better than the close-up, although I think I like the close up better as far as composition is concerned. Nice job Kel.

Anabela & Antonio Jorgeby atsxusComment: I think other than the shadow that you mentioned in your post, that this is a nice wedding shot. The lighting on the couple is good, the focus crisp, and you captured a great moment. |

Moraine-Lk-aka-CDN-20-dolla.jpgby TessComment: Beautiful location and composition. The sky is obviously overexposed, but shots like this are really tough with the digital cameras. The lower portion of the picture is great as you can actually see all the details. With a shorter shutter speed to keep the sky and mountain tops from getting washed out would have cause you to lose much of the good detail in the lower portion of the shot. I think a lot of skilled photographers with these type of shots take two exposure and then combined the elements of both photos into one shot. I'm not that much of an expert, but there are plenty of people on the site that can help you with those techniques. Keep up the good work and have fun. |

DSC_0041.gifby MiykaelComment: Definitely your best shot. I'd highly recommend a tripod and then another visit to this same spot. Good work and enjoy the D70.

DSC_0028.gifby MiykaelComment: I think this is one of your best shots. I like the depth of field and the line up towards the upper part of the waterfall. I would crop it just above that stick near the bottom. The stick is kind of a distraction.

DSC_0117.gifby MiykaelComment: This isn't a very interesting shot, at least not like some of your other waterfall shots. The color also seems really flat. A longer shutter speed would have at least made the water more attractive instead of the stop action. |

DSC_0035.gifby MiykaelComment: I think you are on the right track. You can tell with this picture that you hand held the shot as things are quite blurry. I think you could have zoomed in more on this shot. The left portion of the picture is pretty boring and leads your eyes away from the nice capture of the waterfall. Get yourself a tridpod and you will see all the difference. You are on your way though...enjoy the D70 (I love mine)
Take it easy,
