Our Lady of the Shadowsby oldbimmercoupeComment: Originally posted by AbeSapien2: A white church, the quintessential symbol of organised Religion with the shadow of the older Tree of Life, indicative of quite another and older Celtic Natural religion, towering over it is a telling juxtaposition and a statement with much more between the lines than would first appear in a casual look at this. A favourite in this challenge to me - The chimney and the structure bear many straight lines, the Tree is curved and bends with the changing winds. |
many thanks for taking the time for your comments here. |

Bird Of Freedomby karenkComment: Originally posted by Dirt_Diver: This is an awesome shot but the details say,

This is a nail bitter. It's a really crisp shot but the fact that it says don't photograph an eagle makes me not want to give it a high score. Ughhh I'll have to vote on the whole challenge and come back to this one. |
so why such a high finish? guess nobody read the damn rules this time around. super cliche shot. |

A Fistful Of Dollarsby GeneralEComment: Originally posted by Nuzzer: Which country? Oh, if I look close I can see these are US dollars. SO the spirit of the USA is greedy capitialism is it? I'm not convinced. The shot lacks definition. Sorry, DNMC IMO. |
his "statement" is spot on the challenge, IMO. the greed is good immorality ran into the perfect storm of a willfully ignorant populace that worships militarism. guess what? we cant afford empire now. time to see if perhaps our values are askew; time to see if our citizens might needs some of these bucks instead of the arms merchants and the other war profiteers. but I digress. great job of smacking the challenge theme over the head! |
