In comparison to the personifications found in completely inanimate, non-representational subjects, this is difficult to judge. It has great texture but is doesn't have the necessary piece of the photographer finding something completely distant from the intended use. It's also in need of a bit more contrast and sharpness.

I saw the thumbnail for this and I knew it was a winner. The extra element added here is stunning and the macro of the plastic is so perfectly lit. It's hard to even look at the "photogrpahy" aspect because the clever idea is so powerful. Even though outlets have been used before, I wouldn't be surprised to see a composition like this on the front page.

I'm struggling to ID the subject here -- not that it matters. But I'm also strugling to determine whether it's supposed to be a rear-end wannabe. Artisitically, I think it's interesting but the highlight is so right that it's difficult to look at carefully for me. 6

brilliant! The bolt as eyes are a subtle touch. The nails are poetic and metaphoric. The only thing I might change is the beautiful background - perhaps a more "hot" temp might suit the subject but very nice overall. 8
