The reason this works for me is that it looks both real and fake at the same time.The reflection on the left building makes me think this is pretty much accurate as an advanced edit photograph. The overall message though is not isolation to me - I agree that we might be in the age of isolation for real but the windows all over the buildings make me think maybe people want to be together in some way - although I realize that technology sometimes keeps us away from being face-to-face (which I see occuring in the lonely character and the others walking away. I probably shouldn't obsess over the title and should move on to others- So my summary: A bit dark in spots but definitely emotive, beautiful and vexing. 7

I love to see images like this on the front page. The black and white is a great way to add a bit of timelessness … Personally red and white umbrellas add too much nationalism or something for me and they look much better grey. The brain is fooled a bit using greyscale and it works well to remove unnecessary activators of brain synapses.
