Soaring on Wings of Silver by scalvertComment: This is probably one of the coolest images on the site - and the conecept is so simple yet beautiful - the motion "wind" type feel is great. ANotehr fantastic idea. Your monarchy continues at DPC ;P |

The Suicide Gameby graphicfunkComment: I sometimes have the same problem of not leading the viewer which usually doesn't help the dpc score. This was nicely done - The skin color sorta lacks appeal which I think hurts this a bit but the concept is great and a powerful message. |

Luck of the Draw by scalvertComment: I'm sorry. I love your work and you're arguable the most influential person on this site. That's what makes this image ("luck of the draw") controversial. The entire "magic" here is a result of post processing. Do we really want to discourage efforts like this example from graphicfunk simply because it could be done with a filter in photoshop? Luck of the Draw by scalvertComment: Is that not:
"us(ing) distortions to create new effects or radically alter objects" ? |

Luck of the Draw by scalvertComment: So this is a photo of a photo + the hand, correct? Message edited by author 2007-07-15 00:12:32. |

Did I forget to lock the door? by justamistereComment: The texture of the clown skin and the well-highlited eyeball along with the black background - even the direction the clown’s eye is looking is great. The subtle overall crop with nothing more than is needed – everyone can tell what it is but the brain / eye does need to look around to find out exactly what it is. The subject is altogether good to because I’m sure the average person sometimes wonders the very question “Did I / you lock the door?” |
