I agree with mk pretty much, but had this guy been off centered and pulled back just a tad, it would have had more impact. The light is wonderful, the focus perfect and the colors really pop though.

As you know, this sort of portraiture really appeals to me. I just got done reading the thread about this photo in the forums, and I have to say that some people do not find any thing stirring about moody photography, which is probably why I have so much trouble finding work that pays. This portrait will not appeal to many types of people because it comes off as 'just a woman with a big nose'. To those sensitive to good portraiture, you see much more than that. To find a woman like this on the street or in a restaurant and capture her with this much character is nothing short of brilliant in my opinion. The fact that she is living with this nose, without having had it surgically altered by her age is a testimony to self acceptance, and she doesn't appear ashamed of it either. I think she is beautiful and I too, think it deserved a much higher score. Way to go Sandy.

I think this is a great pic for a card....or for any other purpose, I like the goofy/happy expressions. Black n white is a good choice also.

Lots of views, no comments. Truth is...these are great pregnancy photos, her being topless makes it pop. Not for the thrill factor, but that most pregnant women cover themselves. I like the series.

I have to re-comment on this one. I think what makes this photo shocking/artistic/gross etc. is the color palette (a little un-pleasing) as well as the two unlikely subjects together.

It's just gross, but you can't not look at it. I wouldn't say it was meant to be artistic but rather a statement of somekind. I don't claim to know or care what statement that was. I just think it's funny in an icky sort of way.

So it's shocking. Atleast he pulled that off. Not something I can really claim to have done on here.
