Cosmosby AleciaComment: interesting subject...... i would consider a tighter crop...... i hate giving that suggestion and seldom do, but this pic to my eye needs it. |

Shadow Dancerby GallatinComment: Choice of colour - classic yellow&blue contrast is very good....... and is strongly implemented. I appreciate your thoughtful and effective lighting, using both shadow and transparency - which enhances dimension and creates that wonderful amorphic bluemoon shape ! Also, I would have considered cropping tighter on the right side - down the middle of your cut mum - showing only half the bloom. undieyatch |

Feelin' Blue...by mliborioComment: self portrait???? i like the picture....... wearing blue, or seeing someone in that colour has a calming effect, especially a light blue - even if actual mood of the person is something else. For me, the latter does not apply, as the expression, is appropriate to the image, I can't decide how blue this person is. Tears are blue, blue sweaters calm me. undieyatch |

Checkmateby analogcerealComment: i like the chess men a lot...... the near sand blasted men at first appeared slightly out of focus....... but i think that is just the nature of thier physical texture. The far clear men appear to be in focus. Actually the visual components of the picture are, all in focus - this is a very neat trick using the chess men to create an illusion of near field soft focus. This is a picture to be utilized in understanding depth of field and optical illusion. I love this photograph. It teaches, it is visually elegant. I will be looking at this one for a long time. undieyatch |
