Neigh. I Doubt It. by dtremainComment: shot with a wide lens. huge head teeny body. Horses are hard in this respect. way too easy to distort , a much longer focal length fixes this (like over 100mm) If you intend to distort them it's good to make it really obvious, humorously obvious. too much NI kills off the texture in his hair. nice color and good that you got his ears up. |

Summer Foalby JedusiComment: Cute litte guy with his curly fur! great color and DOF. I would have liked to seen more of his neck so he wouldn't be such a floating head |

Idyllby h2Comment: I like the treatment except for the color. waaayyy too yellow for me. nice composition and the fence in the BG doesn't even bother me much it gives it a sense of place. Losing the mud spots would have been a bonus too. nice DOF and crisp |

"Where's the fun?"by CEJComment: HaHa! Looks like someone trimmed his bangs! (forelock) The crop: he needed to be cropped either tighter or more open. I want to see the rest of his whiskers and his ears needed to either be cropped completely out or be all there. Mid-ear crop is buggin. Lovely exposure and love the eyes and their eye-lights. Nice and crisp too. |

Strawberry Roan Paint at Cheleyby hahn23Comment: You chopped off his feet! Nice color and DOF. A dignified old man too (notice the sway in his back) Bet he gets more roan every year. The horses in the BG tell some of the story but it would have been more ideal if they had been smaller (further away) YOu can also squat down or walked down the hill, to move the horizon line down which would have hidden them a bit more and maybe even shown their grazing head under his belly. That also would have retrieved his feet for ya. |

Against An Angry Skyby LadyKComment: NIce drama. I would have liked to seen the clouds wee bit more lighter than they are, not in the center but slightly out from the center just to show more detail in them and make the silhouette pop out a little more. A square crop also might have enhanced the silhouetted subject. Seems a bit more room on the right than needed. |

A Horse of Few Colorsby alanfreedComment: Where'd you find one of those rare yellow and black zebras?!? (light reflecting off the grass) The big branch under his neck is a bit distracting. Nice & sharp focus, good DOF. Would be a bit more dynamic if you had cropped it off center. Zebras are pretty cool creatures. |
