Sport Compact Carby RefractedComment: I can definately see this on a auto magazine cover. The background is beautiful and goes well with the yellow of the car. Technically well done and I like the angle at which you took this. Good luck in the challenge. 9 |

Canadian Gardeningby YethComment: Very nice shot and technically well done. You got a little glare on the back leaves but it's not that bad. I would see this as a secondary shot on a magazine cover...you know...along with a larger shot. Nicely done! Good luck in the challenge. 7 |

LOS ANGELES MAGAZINEby KIKIComment: Makes me wonder what the three officers in the middle are looking at. In this shot, I think the stuff on the building providing the background is distracting. I think a more neurtral background would have been more appropriate for these police officers. Plus, you cut off some of their feet. This works being candid, but it bugs me..wanting to know what they are looking at. Thinking about it, however, to me, magazine cover shots are usually set up and not candid. |

Beadworkby rickhd13Comment: More even lighting would make this a better shot. It looks as if you only have one light source...a bright light to the right. You seemed to blow out the white beads and then can't really see the other beads. |

American Babyby fjComment: What a cutie!! I can definately see this as a cover. Perhaps a little closer shot with a little angle up on her face and a little more light would make it even better. Looks like the shot was taken in the shadows. |

PLAYCATby YuliyaGComment: This cat has a very elegant pose :-) Animals do not do well when photographed with a flash, especially when they are in a dark. The flash makes their eyes get that nasty glow (like red eye in humans) even when they aren't looking right at the camera. I've learned a lot when photographing animals. Don't use a flash. I found that cats especially like the warmth of lamps set up around them and more likely to be a good subject. Give them just a few secs for their eyes to adjust and then shoot without the flash...then their eyes are natural and look better. Also, arrange the lamps where the light isn't shining in they're face. I found that my cat will close her eyes. Use a favorite toy or string to keep they're attention and you can get some wonderful expressions. I love photographing my pets...unfortunately, DPC voters call them cliche shots and don't vote well with them. Looks here like you have a great cat. Work on getting a more uniform background. |

my office skillsby ursulaComment: I find this an interesting subject for the challenge. Kind of on the abstract side. Your subject is nicely framed in your picture. The lighting seems appropriate. Technically, well done. 9 Good luck in the challenge. |

Intermessby rooComment: Oh, what a mess! And I thought that the back of MY computer was bad. I like the colors of the wires shown here. I find it interesting to see that there are a lot of them that aren't connected. Unique shot for the challenge. Good luck 7 |

Wastelandby jkiolbasaComment: Have you seen the movie \"Bruce Almighty\"? Funny movie and this reminds me of one of the scenes. Must have taken you awhile to set this shot up with all the \"Post-It\" notes. Very unique and a good take on the challenge. The only thing about is, though, it seems a bit blaa. It would have taken a lot longer to set up, but maybe putting messages on the notes would have been nice. 5 Good luck in the challenge. |
