There has been so many old car photos that I'm getting tired of commenting on all of them. This one is like the others...good but not great. A little washed out especially at the top right. Interesting angle...better than just a full body frontal shot as some have been. Good luck in the challenge. 5

Hey...even if its obsolete, I still play mine. Just can't get new games for it. Nice DOF and angle for kind of a boring shot. Don't think I like the orange background though. Kind of out of place. 7

Done pumping...

Comment:
Lighting is nice. The sky is beautiful in contrast to the ugly rusty old gas pump. I think it would have been nicer to leave out the pipe on the left to concentrate more on the pump...perhaps getting a little closer to see the old number display.

Made in America

Comment:
The flag and the vintage sewing machine make for a nice picture. It is well done. In this challenge however with obsolete being the subject matter, I would think putting the focus on the sewing machine to be more appropriate. Surly, the American flag is not obsolete. Putting the challege aside, though, I really like this picture. Singer being American made makes for a very patriotic theme as we are approaching July 4th. Good luck in the challenge.

The end of the faceless?

I'm probably a little dense as to the meaning you are portraying with this picture in relation to the title. In any event, regardless of the meaning, this picture is well done. The nuturing family in the light with the yuppie couple in the shadow. Did you mean to emphasis the chest and pelvic areas of the couple? Technically, the picture is good. Too bad in this challenge you couldn't clone out the white specks at the bottom left. 8

Beautiful reflection in the water. Obsolete subject kind of vague IMO.

i see the meaning in your picture. The sleak new flatscreen in the limelight and the old dinosaur back in the shadows. Perhaps you could acheive the same meaning by using less space. Good idea though

The Old Windmill

Comment:
Subject in this picture appears more to be the couple and not the windmill which, by the title, I take it was to be your obsolete object. Wouldn't have known it if for that. BOOO :-) Weird angle, but nice couple. Would like to see more of the woman's face.

Nicely framed photo. Focus just seems a tad soft. Sepia tone is fitting here, but perhaps a little TOO yellow for my liking. Otherwise, well done. Good luck.
