I counted 70 flower shots (not counting the ones with bugs) in this challenge. This one, I would have scored it higher if it would have been in color. Doesn't make for a very interesting B&W. The texture makes it look silk. Subject is very centered in the frame. Nice focus, though.

Yellow Orchid

In this case, I really do not like the yellow border. I usually like borders, but this one ended up cutting into the ends of the petals. IMO perhaps with a black or white border, this wouldn't have mattered much, but the yellow is distracting. Otherwise, this is a very pretty photo. Well lit and nicely focus.

Moth

I counted close to 100 bug shots in this challenge. This one stands out as my favorite and I give you a 10. You show such nice detail and texture. I didn't realize that some moths have feather-like antennas. The surface the moth is standing on goes well with the color scheme. My one and only complaint is that the wing is cropped off at the top.

You have perfect lighting and focus. Very pretty picture. Good luck in the challenge. I hope this one does good.
