In the Wildby AntithesisComment: camouflaged eggs . . . cool. increasing the saturation might have made the green look a bit more fresh. |

Huevos del Salmonby dacrazyrnComment: there is an interesting pattern reflected in the eggs (i like that). i wish there had been something in the picture to give a better idea of scale, because this is probably a pretty good macro shot that isn't that obvious that it's macro. |

Egg Plantby mcraelComment: seems dark. i might have upped the saturation a bit to bring out the green more. |

Eggby AllenComment: seems kind of grainy and soft. i like the light and shadows. |

Alone in the crowdby leko2kComment: i think having the eggs in the shadow as opposed to in the light which might bring out the colors more detracts from the photo. i do like the idea. |

feeling a little under the weather these days?by tomzinhoComment: 1) i can see now that this is more of a photojournalistic photo than a stock photo, and what a stock photo should be is clearer to me now than before.
2) i think there is 'grade-inflation' in the members only voting arena, because i thought my 'honeymoon hell' photo was much better than this one. that said, my honeymoon hell photo was placed in the middle of the pack while this one placed very much in the end . . .
thanks for all your comments. |

brightening my dayby tomzinhoComment: i was amazed how many flowers there were and how well flowers did in this challenge. for me it was a lack of better ideas, and as i said in my comments, the weather ;-) thanks for all your comments. |

escapeby tomzinhoComment: thanks for all the comments. unfortunately this is a photo i know could have been better, but it was TOO COLD to hang around and take tons of photos. sorry. i took a couple straight on and could only capture two columns of escapes, which did not quite, to me, represent the contest as much as this photo did, with row after row of fire escapes. here is an older photo that i took a while ago that inspired me to wander back down there and find this image again . . . but as i said, it was just toooo coooold to find the right image. given the many weaknesses of the photo, i'm pretty happy with the outcome (although i think the angle that the buildings recede from the starting point is too harsh to cut out the bottom any more than i already did). |
