i have to say that i am disappointed on how this photo scored - but that said, it wasn't the photo i would have liked to have come out of the booth with, but i didn't have the luxury of taking tons of shots (i took two), and certainly didn't get another chance to go in the booth (i don't live in florida). regardless of the result, i'm happy with the photo given what i had to work with, and for those that gave positive votes and thoughts i thank you.

illusion can be captured in many ways. in this case, the photo is not a trick photo, but the main subject matter, the red tree, contrasted against the surrounding subject matter, the green trees, presents two starkly different perspectives of the same image, and of the season (spring/summer or fall). in accepting the red tree you have to accept a reality (it is fall) that the surrounding trees oppose (its still spring/summer), hence the illusion is that one or the other should be correct, but not both at the same time in the same picture.
