Hold back the waterby whiterookComment: 4...to my eye, the horizon doesn't look quite level, just slightly off, and the image seems generally flat. I'm not familiar with the book, so I can't make an informed comment on that. |

The Secret Gardenby lunachickenComment: 6...definitely conveys a sense of loneliness. My main 2 problems with this image are; the bit of window frame at the top, I might have cropped that out and the B&W conversion seems a bit flat...it could do with a bit of a levels or curves adjustment. |

1984 - George Orwellby FourPointXComment: 4...it's interesting, then again it's not. Maybe if there were a shallower depth of field, better light? Generally speaking, I find photographs of electronics kinda boring. |

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1886)by GarryComment: 6...it's interesting but something about it seems borderline cliche to me. The lighting reminds me of that strobe lighting you see used with all those athlete photos here and there. It is well crafted though and that knife makes me nervous. |

Tribute to O.Henryby lei_73Comment: 4...I have no idea what this is inspired by. The light and texture on the cabbage is nice, and I wish the cards weren't there. They're not in or out of focus enough to not be annoying. It's just a weird little still life, but not weird enough to be interesting. |
