The Shakedownby IAmEliKatzComment: 10...you made me stop a stare. You also made me move my head side to side. This is just fun for me. |

Fanny Hillby disassociationComment: 4...oh that purple thong strap. This would have been a hundred times better without it. It would have flattered your model so much more. Her hair is also blending into the background a bit too much giving this strange effect of her being bald. Dappled light is tough to shoot in. Reflectors can sometimes help fill in those shadow areas. |

"A Prayer for Owen Meany"by DudskiComment: 6...a nice rich B&W conversion. For me the vignette is maybe a bit strong as it encroaches around the edges and seems unnecessary. But the light-the light is so beautiful. |

Lord of the Fliesby jaysonmcComment: 6...It's the cutest of the 3 Lord of Flies entries. The light is pretty too. Though it is a really nice B&W conversion, I wonder how this would have been in color? |

we the living by Ayn Randby jmritzComment: 6...and here's your damn fries. Technically the quality is lacking, but the pissed off look on his face makes up for that for some reason. Enjoy your meal.
The fries were nice and hot..I'm bumping this to 7. |

City-of-Glassby artistChanComment: 4...it just doesn't hold my interest. I have a hard time getting past what I see as some technical issues, like the blotchy-ness in the sky and the complete loss of detail in much of the shadow areas. |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment: 6...they are going to get you. Funny, all the Lord of the Flies entries were quite nice, this one included. Why the 6? Here's why...the B&W conversion could use some help. It's all very middle to deep gray with a few hits of light where the sun got through. Dappled shade is a beast to deal with. Besides a levels adjustment, you could use some levels masking to bring contrast to only specific areas. It's simple to do, and provides much better results than plain dodging or burning. With all the grays being so close in tonal value, like you see here, everything sort of just blends together in a mushy sort of way. I love the fierce little creature at the bottom left! |

The Sun Also Risesby MarfunComment: 6...for me it seems to be yet another title only inspiration, but it is a beautiful one at that. The quiet of it all appeals to me. |
