This could have been a very good shot, but is too much out of focus for my taste. I also think it would improve if you crop from the bottom and the left hand side. Nice colours.

Beautiful dog and a nice shot of him, but I find the background distracting. If it had been more blurred or just in white this would have been a great shot in soft focus.

I think the best answer I can give you Lárus is the photo itself and the results in the challenge. But in fact I did take several shots this evening with different settings, but this one had the right grainy appearance I was trying to achieve.
