Quick - Heads or Tails?by KelliComment: This was such a great capture. I guess focus was the main issue on it, but still, it is a great picture. I did not vote but it is a shame it didn't do better in the ratings. Shots like this are not easy to get. |

Sunflower Wishesby JunieMoonComment: Thanks for your lumy nomination. My Sunflower Wishes image has a story. Every year, Buttonwood Farm in Griswold, CT. grows 10-15 acres of sunflowers. For one week in July, they have a fundraiser called Sunflowers For Wishes. They sell bouquets of the sunflowers (my image is a bunch of bouquets ready for sale) and send all proceeds to the Make A Wish Foundation. The foundation grants final wishes for terminally ill children. Last year they raised over $75,000. This year they will most likely top that because they were highlighted in a national magazine, Yankee. I have never seen so many sunflowers, so I had to enter it. Thanks again for the nomination. |
