I think the contrast would have been stronger if you had dodged the white squares more. Adjusting contrast to a higher setting may have also created more of an illusion of contrast.

Eiyuu. I hope they are fake. Think the image would have been better without them. Liked the ragged leg bottom and the stitching coming out of the shoe. Great lighting too. Kind of makes you wonder what really lives in a bowling alley.

All cats seem to love shoes. Must be the smell or something. Image is well lit, but the sharpness could have been better. Tripod use if you don't have one, or maybe changing your camera settings to macro or a lowerr aperture if you have an slr.

It looks as if you applied a filter to get the brushed look of the image. It seems to work with the shoes okay, but I find that the background is distracting. I know it is basic editing and you can't spot edit, but if you want to get a really nice image (for sale or something) I would clear the background of the spotting and have it plain. Good interpretation of the theme, however.

You did the shot that I was considering doing, but decided not to enter this one. Did you get a book called Surreal Photography? I just got it a few weeks a go and a similar image was on the cover. Anyway, I give it an 8. I know the barefoot was moving and that is why it is blurry, and I think you could have adjusted the color saturation a little differently
