No Parkingby youngnovaComment: Thought the image lacked a really good subject. Admittedly, the no parking sign is well exposed and well saturated, but not interesting. Developing an eye for composition comes with practice. That is where I am at right now. |

nyc through the eyes of a messengerby samhallComment: Thought the image was too dark. Also it was not all that strong in composition. The foreground object doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the image. Also, the car to the right and the one directly left of the object are distracting. All in all, I think a bit more scrutiny when setting up your shot and noticing every detail from one corner to the next will help considerably. If you have the ability to look through an eyepiece on your camera, sometimes that conventional technique allows you to see more than using an lcd screen, which I hardly use anymore. |

Skating in Providenceby gmarceauComment: Image was really overexposed near the foreground, and too softly focused. our building in the background came out pretty good, though. |

innocenceby valenzuelamauricioComment: Image was extremely low contrast, which I think may hurt your score. Just some adjustments on the contrast in your editing program may have given this a bit more punch. |

Government in the Gutterby ShannonLeeComment: A good technique to use is leading lines, but your best leading line is the angled one at the top of the photo. It might have worked better compositionally if you had gone to the other side of this gutter and shot it using the curve as your leading line. |

Policing Londonby DoigComment: Would have been higher score if the image had been in focus better. |

NYCby photogenixComment: Nice night capture. My favorite part of the image is the left side of the photo. I love the billboard and the detail on the building in the background. |

A City's broken heart - In Memory of Jane Crebaby Rae-AnnComment: Very touching. Emotional impact is strong and you captured enough detail to let the viewers know what the image is about, though the addition of the name in the title gives it a more personal touch. Thankyou for sharing, and I hope you will find your way clear of this unfortunate incident. Technically, I think it was a little too soft and the highlights were really blown from the background store. |

My Downtownby Shan2112Comment: I loved the way the streetlamps came out on this one. It was very softly focused, though, which will hurt your score, and the lack of color in the sky will also bring it down. A polarizer would have saturated the sky much better, and reduced the overbright white of the snow. Still, it is a nice composition, and the eye is easily led into the scene by the placement of the steet. |
