Nice treatment. I am certain this was a description from Eliot. You set a real mood with this one. Nice placement of the Chrysler building and the Empire State buiilding, and I like the two foreground bridge piecces. The more I look the better I like the photo. 8

Absolutely beautiful interpretaion. Lighting was really good on this one. Don't know the book, but the picture is awesome. 9 because the light on the man was a bit dark, and the left side of the girl.

Maybe a little dark, though I liked the brighter sky toward the right. Need more light in the foreground.

Not getting it. Was that a book or play? A bit grainy and overprocessed. You must have had low light and tried to improve exposure after the photo was taken. Use a tripod and let the camera have a longer exposure and a too dark image won't be a problem anymore.

Well, you seemed to interpret the title well. Problems included too much grain in the sky. Need to apply a noise reducer to get rid of that or have a lower iso. Contrast of water was flat. A polarizer or neutral density filter would equalize the contrast and add better detail on the water.

Hard to get these wildlife shots. Good attempt, but you need to prefocus your spot a bit better. Maybe even put it on burst mode if you have that on your camera, which would take several consecutive shots together. Might have gotten a better face of the owl.

Don't know the book, but I do know the author. I like your background. It looks very evil. As a photo, I found it interesting. It was composed well, and the lighting was really good the way you highlighted the scythe. 8

Good interpretation of the landscape. I think it is a little too fluid though. Maybe a bit more dodge on the foreground, and a sharper focus?

Very good saturation and detail. I like the use of Connex (?) as your works. I almost did this too, but I was going to do the actual bookcover, with a screaming mouth on the bottom and a photo of a flame on the top. Of course, nobody would have gotten it who hasn't seen the book.
