The Many Aspects of Mobile Home Living...by Martin Clarkby deanaComment: They actually wrote a book about that? Well, I like the idea of trying to depict it, but there are a few issues with this photo. The house in the background is very distracting. Use a more shallow dof. The wires in the foreground could have been darkened to black in post processing where there is white so they wouldn't have shown as much. I did not care for the trees in the foreground or the telephone pole. Event he generator or something to the left is very distracting. To get a better image, you might have tried to get closer. Think too many distracting elements were placed in the photo. |

1984by graphicfunkComment: Love the expression on this one. A bit more light on the right might have put this one over the top. One way to add a little more light without flash is to use a reflecting board or mirror where the shadow is darkest. The light on the left would have probably reflected just enough from the right to put that part of the face in better light. I use foamcore board as my reflector boards. Available even at places like CVS Pharmacy. 8 |

Just Over The Hill The Sun Is Shiningby RolandBComment: Liked the concept, but your light balance is problematic. The dark areas are really dark and the highlights are really blown out. Perhaps a bit more work on correcting exposures in post processing, such as more dodging and burning. From the camera, a polarizer or neutral density filter definitely would have helped to correct the balance of light. |

"Beauty is not caused. It is." - Emily Dickinsonby DrakeComment: One of my favorite poets. This is a great picture. I love the detail and clarity of the butterfly. No pixelization at all and your dof was a wonderful contrast to the sharp leaves. I am a sucker for butterflies, and this is a really good pic. 10 |
