Water Worldby Little KingComment: Good macro attempt, but focus is a bit soft. I have discovered that when I am in macro mode or close-up, I can actually get better focus by moving me and my camera closer or farther from the subject. I can't focus through lenses, so the body movement acts as a focusing technique. |

Filtered Waterby Pug-HComment: Thought the filter was distracting. I know you were using it as a creative tool, but I think the photo suffered because of it. |

rough and tumble by whiteroomComment: Loved this image. It depicts the joys and innocence of children so well. Makes me see why God can love us so much. |

What is it?by dleachComment: Wow, I love the strong colors on this one. It does look like the roof of a building. The blues are superb. Did you post process by matching all the blues, or was that the sky showing through? Anyway, the color makes me happy to look at it. I love the strong geometrics as well. They match well with the strong color. Nice job. |

The Folly Roseby UNCLEBROComment: I found this to be an interesting photo. It is rather small, but I did go to prints to see a larger image of it. I like the way you overlayed the two photos. Very dramatic sky, but for me it isn't my particular taste. Still, I find myself motivated to try something like this myself. If I come up with something, I will send it to you. |

Undescribedby ilovecars131Comment: It looks like rust on a copper patina. Not the most pleasant abstract to look at. |

I hear a Bee buzzing around...by dassilemComment: Saw your comment under footwear. Well, I did not vote on this one due to lack of time, but really consider this a learning experience. It was definitely too soft a focus for the folks here. Though your details are still there, I think you also may have suffered from that horrible malady of which I have been suffering from, subject interest. Most folks probably thought it was too snapshotish and uninteresting, so they would have scored lower. The photo can be absolutely wonderfully detailed and sharp (see my entry Out Of My Gourd) but if they find it uninteresting, your score will reflect that. Your photo may have done better if you took the slippers off, and painted your toenails, then shot from a different angle where the toenails were quite clear and the butterfly and bracelet also. Your color is quite good on this one considering you used ISO 400 and there is not an ounce of discernable grain, two things to keep in mind when you are shooting for future challenges. Might allow you to take some lower light setups, which I can't do because I get a lot of grain and bad color. |

God`s Footwearby balmikiComment: I just happened to look at this one in the challenge results. I did not vote (didn't have time) but when I looked at it I figured immediately it was most likely a sacred place. Your image was fascinating, but it lacked focus and detail. What settings did you do on your camera? I know what the H1 is capable of and maybe I can help you find the right settings. E-mail me or private message me and maybe I can help you when you enter the next challenge.
