Very grainy. Not sure I like the grain for this particular image. Perhaps you didn't have enough exposure, or the iso was too high.

You may have been too close on this one. The image appears to be very distorted, which gives it a very unnatural appearance.

Seems very dark, and that hides the details. I can't really pick out anything familiar in the image because exposure needs to be better.

Welcome to the world of Peggy Bundy. Very creative. Needs to be bigger, though.

Beautiful image but it doesn't say Fire Warden to me. Maybe better suited to free study. 6

Self Portrait using new lights

Well lit, but seems too flat. What kind of lights did you get, and how did you set them up? Perhaps it is the background that really flattens it out. Can you place a hanky over one of the lights to kind of diffuse it to give more depth to the image? It is a trick I learned with portraits. I also use mirror lighting a lot. The light gets aimed at the mirror which is in front of the subject, then the light bounces back at the person, but without a lot of harshness. Just some suggestions. I have several wonderful books on portraiture, including basic set ups. E mail me if you want a few ideas, then I can photograph the pages and send them to you.

Stairs

Stairs

Comment:
The image does have potential. Perhaps a bit mor saturation and contrast would give it a bit more zip. You may have too much detail, as well. Perhaps cropping out much of the foreground, and focusing more on the twist of the stairs near the top. You could easily clone out the foreground branch which kind of arches over the stairs and would be too noticable with a tighter crop.

Lovely image. Very contemporary art feel to it. Love the way the lines form patterns leading to the horizon.
