Need to work on your exposure. This one has too many flares in the glass, and it really is totally coated in noise, as though you might have tried increasing brightness in pp after shooting the image in a nearly dark exposure.

Just saw your name on the home page under photographer profiles. First time I've seen your stuff. It is really great. I hope you can do a book one day (if you already haven't) of images such as these, the lost out of the way places that nobody knows about anymore. It's places like this that get flattened by developers, because they see no value in the beauty and depiction of this part of America. Great image. Adding your name to my favorites list.

A vacation trip to a back-to-nature destination

Nice exposure on the snow capped mountains, but the foreground looks like the exposure was adjusted alot, which created a very flat, detailless area. I wonder if you had exposed more for the foreground, then worked on the mountain if it would have worked better. Even a nd filter for just the mountain would have equalized the light better. Anyway, images such as this are really hard to get the right balance of light.

Could be better focus and background really makes the entire image kind of melt into itself, causing the eyes to really not see the snake all that well.
