village window1.jpgby artvetComment: Zowie. I wish I had taken this picture myself!
To a certain extent I agree with the comments about the shadow at the top. On the other hand, there is no guarantee that if you came back at another time you would have the perfect cloud in the perfect place. 8)
Later.. I suppose one way to lessen the impact of the shadow would be to get rid of the white portion surrounding the window frame altogether. To me the shadow is less noticeable on the green area and hardly noticeable at all on the glass/cloud portion of the picture.
I just don't think it's that big a deal. 8) Message edited by author 2006-02-25 13:37:10. |

Pourby JPRComment: Neat postprocessing. The bricks have metallic reflections. I really like the silhouette. |

Gunsight Lakeby myceliumComment: Great composition -- leading lines all over the place. Love the greens in the foreground. Out of curiosity, did you do some desat to the background or did it come that way? This is a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing. |

1701 West Market. Louisville,Kyby arsharifComment: I like the building on the right with the fire escape and underneath the fire escape it looks like there's an arrow pointing to the sign "depart" which has another arrow pointing down. There's got to be some symbolism here.
There's a lot going on here. I wish we had more than 640 pixels to see it. |

birthday-2.jpgby ShotMDComment: Very colorful, but it needs small party-goers in it to give it some life. 8) |

night_duo_IMG_0310.jpgby error99Comment: I think this would be better printed out and larger. There's really too much in the picture for our 640 pixel world. Good clarity and tones though. |

Swedish Meatingby palmeroComment: Maybe it's because my mother is from Minnesota and of Swedish descent (she makes meatballs at the drop of a hat), but I didn't have any problem with this picture making the challenge. I'm surprised more people didn't "get it". |

Old vs. newby unnevaComment: Interesting juxtaposition. I might have cropped a little off of the top. Interesting details in the old buildiing. |
