how is this a 5.5? Great shot - well managed DOF. Desat works (though maybe this is the reason - with great morning light, maybe a better score (I might have tried adding a light orange filter to get that morning look to the colour version).

Given your unusual twist on a common question, it may also be worth putting a twist on the common answer: it did not do all that well. 6.3 is a solid score, but it is not setting the sky on fire.

;-)

FWIW, I like the shot, but the anonymity of the figure does not work so well for me. Good effort on the bed, though!

Any input would be appreciated!

The missing apostrophe?

The image is certainly pleasant to look at, but lacks a "wow" factor that is necessary (rightly or wrongly) to grab the higher scores here.

In any photo, one key issue is lighting - good lighting really makes or breaks a photo. Your photo doesn't really use lighting to any careful effect.

You will have been marked down by some for your soft focus - it is another facet of voting on this site.

MAK - this is a terrible image. The fake butter and Marmite are both all too clear - oh, the humanity...

Brilliant. Thank goodness the girl is not tack sharp - it would have lost all sense of movement. Really very good.

I liked this - I think that you were a bit under appreciated as this is a good solid image that captures the theme well. It does not suffer the overediting of some of the other images at this score.
