God created the heavens and earth....and look it was good.by om10Comment: For a focus on the sky pic, you really need to avoid blowing the detail in the clouds - slightly underexpose and playwith levels to "develop" it correctly in PS. Nice composition though (I like non-standard shapes and patterns of composition). |

The beginning of every dayby bhoundComment: yea for coffee. Mug not to my personal preference - something simpler would not have left the focus on the beans, especially as the pattern is blurry (a bit distracting). There are also a couple of "bits" of bean that take away from the otherwise clean representation of the beans. |

The Light & Darknessby SondaComment: Maybe not enough "beginning" without the title! like the composition, except for the lamp under the arch - was there a way to frame this so that you caught the light without the bulb in frame? |

Anthropologyby RefocusedComment: Maybe not enough "beginning" without the title, though - more of an "end"! Hope that this is a specimen, not a victim. shallow DoF, focus on a particular area of the skull and gentler lighting might have added some more depth. |

through mine ownby ericsuthComment: Striking! Maybe not enough "beginning" , and a very shallow DoF without a strong focus point - not clear exactly what is intended. And some distracting reflections in the eyeball! |

beginning of lifeby booneComment: buds a common theme, but an appropriate one. Maybe not the prettiest bud I have ever seen, and DoF is a little too shallow - could do with more clarity in the whole frame. Maybe try getting in a little closer, changing angles, maybe add another light to experiment? |

The beginning of a new eraby sersalComment: great technique. Maybe not enough "beginning" without the title, though - death and beginnings not being happy bedfellows! |
