Tiger Pawsby sonyalphausrComment: I think this is pretty cool. I guess the votes were the result of people who voted down because they knew what it was or didn't like the applied filter. Such is life. You composed excellently - keep experimenting - you've got a good eye for shape. |

Great Blue Heronby sonyalphausrComment: In hindsight, you should have raised the ISO, dropped the aperture, and raised the shutter speed. 1/15 is too slow to capture such a bird at such a distance. Its otherwise a decent shot - compositionally and lighting-wise. Your score is solely due to the challenge topic and the lack of over the top BLUE expected by voters. they tend to like pretty over challenging, so a blue piece of glass on a black background will usually outscore something such as this. Very good for practicing though. I know how difficult these can be ( One of mine) but just keep plugging away - it gets easier over time... |

Color of the Fallenby posthumousComment: Wow. Hard to believe this scored a 4 considering other images in the challenge. And I love the crop, or lack of it - it seems so final, which I thought, going by the title, was the point. For what its worth, I gave you a seven. But I only did one pass and gave up after 20% (disenchantment) so 7 was my highest score for the challenge. Wonderfully seen and captured. |

The Lonely Runnerby bobnospumComment: I'm not surprised by the final score - typical DPC. Just wanted to let you know that this image speaks more to me about life, time, and space, than most images in the challenge. While this is not a 'pretty picture,' it is a strong image that tells me a story, gives me an idea into the head of the photographer. That is worth so much more than another sparkly shiny object on a blank background. |

My Blue Worldby BalkoComment: this is cool. I would have liked to have seen an edge on the other side also, if only to get the complete feeling of being in a snowglobe. great sky for this. The land part is a bit boring - would be interesting to use this effect with better scenery. 7 for giving me that bubble feeling... |

the cloud treeby leniaComment: I love the shape of the tree and the tones used but the crop really seems to fight against the art. |
