WWI Birdby EricSorenWComment: pretty cool. Love the clouds and the pov. Works with a center composition. A little oversharpened. Good luck in the challenge! 6 |

soaring serenityby BeetleComment: I really wish they would hold still! Makes them come out in better focus. Very interesting point of view. Good crop/composition. Focus is the main issue here - really tough to do with a moving bird. If you get another chance, try upping your ISO and test exposing the sky. Then set the same exposure orthe next faster one in manual mode. The image will be a little darker but you will have a better chance of getting him in sharper focus. Good luck in the challenge! |

Feeding Timeby Pug-HComment: Adorable baby - not sure what kind would be yellow. Guessing from the size of his beak, maybe a conure? Image is okay - DOF works to blur out distracting elements. Wish i could see a little more of the bird. The feather detail is there. The yellow cast is a little distracting - not the bird - the image - probably the tungsten lighting. Good luck in the challenge! |

*by sigrun_thComment: pretty scene. I think the frame is overwhelming - all that space could have been devoted to making the bird larger so I could see the detail! Oh well - personal taste. |

Backyard Beautyby singsunshineComment: I love those birds - so cute when they flitter around! I really like the composition of this image. Think you cropped well. What's holding this back from being great is the soft focus. Not sure if thats the camera or oversaturation. The DOF and POV work well for me also. Back to the softness - not sure how to improve on this particular image. Maybe a tripod and a prayer or a higher ISO. The prayer is for waiting for a bird to appear within your frame. One of the draw backs of shooting anything moving in lower light. Good luck in the challenge! |

Duck Family at Sunsetby mahobbesComment: Hmmm... I'm wondering if cropping this off at the water line would improve it for me. Yep, I would like it better without the distracting building in the back. It draws my attention away from the ducks and the great reflections on the water. Other opinions may differ - take mine with a grain of salt. As it is, this looks like two separate images stuck together. I think the bottom alone would be inifintely stronger without the top. |

Dreamyby AmasonComment: I honestly don't care for the blur effect in this image. It overpowers the subject. My taste, so take it for what its worth. Good luck in the challenge! |

Out for a Cruiseby JEFFJSBComment: Very cute! like the stillness of the water. I don't care for the POV - would have liked it down lower, closer to the water - goose eye view if you will. Good luck in the challenge! |

Swan's Eyeby SteveJComment: Wow. A little too close for my taste. Birds like this (or anything for that matter) with such strong blacks and whites are very difficult to expose properly. you did a pretty good job keeping much of the detail - I applaud you for that. 7 - good luck in the challenge! |

Extinct in the Wildby flip89Comment: Beautiful bird. Only thing holding this image back is that the softness hides some of the detail. Crop, composition and DOF are excellent. 6 - good luck in the challenge! |
