Duckby GinaRothfelsComment: Yep. Definitely a duck. Like the lighting/reflection in this image. The image itself is kind of static - there is no wow factor. 5 - good luck in the challenge. |

Eastman 50Dby fifieldComment: the bird is so small and the water so big he almost gets lost. Is that a swallowtail? Scissortail? He's so small all the details are lost. |

American Red-capped Eagleby mcrochipComment: I haven't figured out why the Nationals have a bird for a mascot. But its better than a senator any day. The shirt is spot on in focus but the birds head is not. Must have been a really short DOF in a night game? Like the camera guy at the bottom right. Interesting take on the challenge. Good luck! |

Mother Said Soby CalliopeKelComment: Very cute. Couldn't imagine having that many kids at once! This is a little oversaturated for my eyes. Maybe oversharpened but that just might be the sat playing tricks on me. Good luck in the challenge! |

where's mom?by shadiaComment: Looks like gaussian blur was used. Doesn't really enhance the image for me as it blurs the subject. They are cute though! |

Nesting.......by tolovemoonComment: Very cute. Wish it all was in a little sharper focus. Looks like a flash was used so it was taken when it was darker. you can use a flash during the day also - give you light in those hard to reach places like inside a birdhouse. Good luck in the challenge! |

Flying Highby prbettsComment: Excellent sky. Think the bird was moving a little to fast for this shot - its going out of the frame and out of focus. We should tie little weights to his legs to slow him down! If you shot birds (with a camera) again, I would recommend a higher ISO or manually setting the camera a little faster. This will stop the action a little better. Problem I know is that 9 times out of 10 these things happen upon us when we aren't prepared in advance. Good luck in the challenge! |

Ducks On The Rocksby alternaruleComment: The blue really accents the ducks. Like the composition. Wish the POV was a little closer to the ducks eye view rather than a standing person. That would really give the wow factor to this image for me. As it is, its good, just not quite there. 6 - Good luck in the challenge! |

Yes?by LucidLotusComment: The expression on his face is priceless. Makes up a little bit for the lack of contrast in the image - this could use stronger blacks and whiter whites to really grab me. Composition, crop and POV are pretty good. Duck a little soft but I can tell he's moving so it makes sharpness a little more difficult. 6 from me. Good luck in the challenge! |

Wing Dingby OlyuziComment: Love the tones in this image. Could have maybe cropped a little out of the top, maybe not. Wish the tails were just a little bit whiter - it owuld provide some balance to all the dark in the image. Focus very good. Good luck in the challenge! |
