Elegance by peeceeComment: mapplethorpe. First thing that popped into my head. The lighting on this is excellent. Makes the flower sensual. Has a lot of movement. I can see the petals unfurling while I comment. I take a lot of flower shots 'cause there easy, convenient, and don't argue. :) This one is one I would love to call my own. Excellent work. 10 |

Filed By Authorby WarbyComment: the lighting is perfect, the expressions tell a story, composition and focus and DOF spot on. Slight tilt but it doesn't detract. 9 |

Im not afraid of the dark... Im afraid of the light.by Dan_CottleComment: like the use of shadow and grain to evoke a mood. Composition and depth of field add. Tones well done. I was going to give you an 8. I'm sitting here thinking, why not 9 or 10? Is it the subject? Is there something wrong with the image? And the answer to both is no. I don't think it could be improved, I think its very evocative and tells a story. Technically well done. So a 10 it is. And a favorite. |

Ballerinas in Blueby bvoiComment: Really like the silhouette - works wonderfully. Wondering if maybe the left and right sides were cropped if it would be a more powerful image. 7 good luck in the challenge! |

The Market After Duskby RobbyComment: really like this image. Like the DOF used. Composition well done. There is a dynamic quality to this. Things are cropped incompletely but that adds rather than detracts. Very effective, colors well done. 9 |

View of the Thamesby shelley1017Comment: I really like the silhouette here but I feel trapped. Maybe a slim black border would help make this image seem more finished (I usually hate borders). I also find the slight tilt to the right capturing my attention as the image has strong horizontal lines. Fixing that might fix my trapped feeling. The image is perfectly exposed for the subject and works very well in B&W. 7 - good luck in the challenge! |

YKKby genghisComment: Very well done tonal range makes this subject interesting, as does the composition. 8 |

light workby chusterComment: I love this image - it has so much movement. I can see sharpening artifacts around the guy which could be worked out with advanced editing. The tonal range is excellent, composition outstanding. I would burn just a tiny bit in the upper right. This is one I would hang on my wall. Excellent work. 10 |
