Left Behindby LucidLotusComment: You know, if I had been judging, this would have won over my trite refractions entry any day. Hands down. DPC voters like bright and shiny. I, unfortunately, sucked up to it for the challenge. As for the image itself - the lighting makes the image. Yours has a story to tell - doesn't matter which - and I for one fully admit that I was bested, whether the voters agree or not. Well done! |

gloomyby arsenalComment: Tilt doesn't bother me. Image is good in my opinion. I think what hurt your score, in this challenge, is people's desire to have BRIGHT yellow and maybe a more cheery yellow. Outside the challenge I like this image but I agree with the spot on the face - would rather have it toned down just a little - it doesn't look quite natural. I like the textures on the wall and the bare bulb. They definitely add. |

Tangerine Dreamsby Rae-AnnComment: This is pretty cool. Wish the lighting was a tad more even and the tones a little less yellow. Focus perfect for the image. |

fanby bucketComment: Always way ahead of the curve. Now what are you going to do for window framed? ;) I shouldn't bother to try knowing you will be there - you always have the best insight into windows... As for this one, there is something compelling about it. At the same time, I am a bit put off by it - I think it is the ugly gray on the right hand side. Not sure why. The image is very weighted to the right - that might be what's doing it. I feel heavy... Somehow I love the juxtaposition of the fan and the glass. |

Together...by mandyturnerComment: I agree with Skiprow - this is just a little too close. I get no sense of environment. I am glad that the fingernails are well groomed. Nothing more distracting... :) |
