How rarely we get humor in a duck shot, yet this shot has it. How rarely we get to enjoy the blue, green, orange and yellow colors of the duck all arranged in the most flattering array. ( in terms of color palette), yet this shot has it. It's crisp, perfectly lit, great bokeh. Really nice shot.

I find the composition a little static and the lighting uninteresting - being from behind it leaves everything flat. The gull is interesting, but I find it distracting that the horizon passes right through his abdomen.

Call me a curmudgeon, but to me the flower ruins the photo. 1) This particular shade of pinkish mauve clashes with the creamy avocado theme color IMO 2) It's out of focus petals block the shiny metal to which our eyes are naturally drawn. So we resent it's presence doubly. Oherwise I think the photo is a good take on the titled theme.

'What's on your tortilla?' I love the colors and textures. Good lighting. I love the fact that these items go together culinarily: really nice choice to include lime and cilantro. Also, I like that this is not something we see every day. Very nice.

If I were served a bowl of veggies that looked exactly like this, I'd have to have not had a thing to eat for a week to get to the bottom of it, or even to take the first bite; so for me the photo is ironically titled. It's nicely lit and composed, but for reasons already explained, leaves me cold. For me the magic of food photos is either to look delicious or to capture the color and form of the vegetable in a more abstract way, and to me this does neither.
