I would suggest adjusting the white balance.. it's just too yellow everywhere not just on the dog. I don't mind the grain (in fact I like grain) and all the other complaints - not an issue to me. The main complaint I would have is the color and I would have given this a 5.

This is so heartbreaking!!! Losing a child (esp. to addiction) has to be the worst kind of pain someone can experience. Cory was beautiful and looked like she was full of life. Addiction can be so deceiving and misunderstood. I lost one of my oldest friends last year to addiction and I understand how frustrating, shocking, and depressing it feels to find out they couldn't beat it. Your photos are a wonderful way to share a small part of who she was.
