I don't think your image is grainy..your focus on the dog is not sharp though. This is an interesting perspective..I find it too busy (and I often like busy)..the shed doesn't add to this subject..there is nothing gained from my pov in seeing it..the grass being in the foreground is distracting because it is not in focus and is not the subject..if the grass is tha tprominent I would think it might be better to give it the sharp focus, and have the dog out of focus..if the dog is the focal pt. then the grass would work better if it framed him. As for the not sharp focus, think it would have helped to bump up your iso, and use a faster shutter speed to accomadate the dog's movement (i am constantly guilty of using too slow a shutter speed myself).
Of course you might see things completely differently..that is a given. Hope this helps.
