My Opinion-I think the texture, and the color make this shot. It's interesting to look at and a feast for the eye. Not the usual. Unique.

My Opinion-Tones and DOF make this shot for me. Really done well. Love the contast of the squares. The light is nice and works for me. Good job. Congrast on your new F717. It's the hot camera. Not much to add here. Sorry Doug. I think it's about as good as can be.

Background-Weakest part of the shot.
My Opinion-I understand about the tent. Hard shot to get but you did well. The colors are fantastic....reminds me of a Kodak commercial. Vivid and intense. The booger at the top on the tent is a distraction but again with manipulation that can be removed....the whole background could be changed!! It was a good find and a pleasing shot.
