I guess it was only drizzling? Looks great, as does the foreground and shallow DOF which smoothed out the trees; Fav! I think the subject is perfect for the challenge, more of a part of a costume than a casual set of footwear. I think the centering is good, and low crop adds to the mystery, maybe more leg won't hurt.
I think some flaws are in the background. There is no atmosphere, and the floor and background are bland. Maybe a street would be metter, or sidewalk curb. I think the photo scored what I would rate it. Good production though. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I think the photo fits the challenge of course, but maybe another title would fit the photo more. Its not the most important thing however. I love the composition, how the bloom of light fills up the whole frame. Color seems ok, maybe a bit white in areas. The Flaws are the whites, especially on the water. Maybe 3 seconds or less might have worked for the exposure.
Overall, I still think its underrated, fireworks are not easy to shoot. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Since the challenge was wide open, this photograph does fit it if the title of the image is in fact part of a Micheal Jackson song. The subject seems much more powerful than 2000 Watts though...I am just speculating.
The image itself is awesome, I REALLY love the blue sky, and the vantage point is great. Its rare to see such timely captures of lighting like this, and the way it lit up the sky makes this for me.
But as for the bolt, nothing too fascinating about the geology. It's a group of high plains, fit into the frame well. I think this is underrated, since I scored it a 6 during voting.

My first thought is if it fits the challenge, and it does give that the window for this challenge was wide open. The technicality of the shot looks very orthodox for a horizontal landscape, well done filling the bottom half of the frame with all the land and giving just enough colorful sky on the top. I love the rule of 3rds used for the sun and the positioning of the logs.
Color wise, very conservative and satisfying. However, it could be a bit more vivid. The DOF could use improvement. I don't mind the flare coming from the sun, the aperture seems perfect for the sunset shot, but that shutter speed is way high! Maybe too high, good choice leaving the ISO at 100 though.
Great landscape, very above average, I voted this a 6 during voting btw.
