Thank you to all who commented - and to voters. This was indeed intended to be a symbolic representation of the events commemorated that week. I was not able to set up an indoor studio under controlled conditions, so I had to use my deck. I would have preferred less wind. Timing was tough. I agree it would have been better with more smoke. The white specks are reflections of the flash from distant wet leaves - they were unintentional and unavoidable, and yet they might also be viewed as symbolic.

Pleasing image - not easy to make the gg bridge look so small! Interesting silhouette - which is, I think, the negative space - or is the sky the negative space, or both? Not sure.
