Swish! by alanfreedComment: First, I'd like to thank the Academy... (oops! Wrong acceptance speech!) Seriously, I'm thrilled to have the top shot of the week -- how exciting!! Thanks to everyone who left some really good comments on how I could have improved this further. I really like the idea of using a nice steel can as a couple people had suggested, and John is right about the fact that the can itself is a little brighter than it should be in spots. This was a lot of fun (and work!) to put together, and I've learned quite a bit from the experience of doing this shot, as well as from the comments it received. Since some folks had asked for a more detailed description of how this was executed, I put a page together to describe it in more detail: //www.thefreeds.com/swish Again, many thanks to all! |

Summer of '88: The Jersey Shore.by linaComment: Not a bad effort, though I would have liked a little sharper focus. I'm sure you noticed another one in the challenge that is very similar! |

Bad Boy!by RichiComment: I think this is an awesome concept, and very well executed! The still action of the cans and the shadow is great. My only beef is that I wish the dangling wire wasn't there... it's a bit distracting. |
