Might have been better in full focus, rather than just a small part of the bark. Or if the bottom third or so had been in focus anyway. It just seems a little awkward to have a small portion of the middle in focus to my eye.

Blah blah blah rule of thirds blah blah blah. I'm guessing you're hearing some of that this week since the image is fairly divided in half in the top & bottom. It's an interesting subject. I might have considered cropping out the rock on the bottom right -- it seems just a little too dark compared to the rest of the features.
