Gull Above the Gunsby ImagineerComment: This would have been an awesome shot had you left it alone, I think. The toning is just creepy-ish, and there's an awful lot of noise in the background. |

A Lost Loveby punkskittlesComment: Too small to judge properly... you'll definitely benefit from submitting larger shots, and with less compression. You can submit files up to 150K -- yours is only 13K... |

Say Jeezzz...by maessengerComment: Quite a low-quality image, I'm afraid. I'm sure you're hearing this from a lot of people... but do take advantage of the 640 pixel size here, and try to compress the image less. To give you an idea of what I mean... you can submit shots up to 150K -- yours is only 6K. |

Ouch....You Cut Me!by bryanbrazilComment: Very good representation of the challenge! I like the toning, sharpness and depth of field here, too. My only nitpicks would be the shadow (although it gives it an Anthony Perkins-style Psycho feel), and the blown out areas of the hand. A 9 from me. |

~ME~by HBunchComment: A score in a self-portrait challenge can always be helped by being a hot babe in the first place :) I might have tried to match the tones in the face a little more with the shoulders (in other words, blow out the upper body similar to the face, or tone the face like the shoulders)... but otherwise I like it a lot! Good luck! |

Are We There Yet? by bruskiComment: You know, I kept looking at this shot while voting, thinking it looked familiar to me... I did some digging, and sure enough, it's one of my vacation photos from 1988! That was also a trip where I was experimenting with a polarizing filter for the first time. I love how yours came out! Doesn't look like the place has changed a lot in 17 years... thanks for the memories and congrats on the ribbon! Message edited by author 2005-02-11 10:57:09. |
