My moms favoriteby SjonComment: You might try some experiments with lighting to get a better effect. For one, try moving the subject further from the wall... and see if you can bounce a flash off a ceiling. Those are a couple ways you can avoid the nasty shadows :) |

1/24 Scaleby divernickComment: You might want to take advantage of the full 150k submission size allowed at DPC. Your shot is only 47K, and reds are the first things to be affected by nasty pixelation in compressed .jpgs. The reds look pretty sketchy on this one for that reason. I would have scored it much higher if those artifacts weren't present. |

Yellowby ragamuffingirlComment: Judging by the similarity of photos on my computer, I'm betting this was taken in Washington DC...! |

Grey Heron with Frogby riotComment: A great nature shot to be sure, but I can't help but feel like this was shoe-horned into the challenge a bit. It's not particularly abstract. |

America's Pastimeby acoppolaComment: It's an ok shot... but it doesn't strike me as being particularly abstract, or even that macro, I'm afraid. |

It's Game Time!!!!!by wildirishman64Comment: Good timing! I would have cropped it to eliminate as much of the clutter (not to call kids "clutter") in the background. Maybe a vertical crop just showing the girl with the ball, and the girl beside her? The rest of the girls/crowd in the shot are really unnecessary here. |
