Woody Presleyby tngrndreamComment: Trading Post comment
Composition/subject
Love the composition! It's quite perfect in my opinion. He's facing the crowd and the shadow is just right. As for the subject, I'm actually kind of fond of woody shots - they're a great learning tool for things like use of lighting, and rather amusing in their own right.
Technical
At first I might have said the lighting is too harsh, that it could be toned down a bit, but really it's pretty good for the shot you chose - stage lighting (as it is set to be here) is generally very harsh like this. The background appears to be a fabric - I like the texture it forms but it could be just a bit smoother, maybe.
Meets challenge
Meets challenge just fine.
My opinion
Congrats on a personal best! It's a good idea well executed, and in my opinion deserved a much better score. |

Git-R-Done !by tfarrell23Comment: Clever idea, well executed. Like the lighting used and how the mower nearly blends into the floor at the brightest point. |

If Walls Could Talkby TheresaAComment: Hmmm - this looks familiar. :-) But is it Concepcion or San Jose? Whichever it is, you captured the subtle colors perfectly! |

Yellow Submarineby Joy MooreComment: I was wondering how someone managed to find a submarine! I like how you used the foliage to frame it and the angle you choosed to shoot from. Seems to be a bit on the bright side. |

Though the night is cloudy, There is still a light shining o'er meby omikeoComment: This is almost an abstract in a way. I like the way the light rays show up diagonally and I figure that's what you were trying to capture. Hard to catch those! I suspect part of the lowish score is because there's no real subject to give the viewer an anchor and perspective. A tree or church spire or such on the left, with the light angled into it, might have more interest. Keep shooting! |

St. Paul Cathedralby GatorguyComment: To me, what makes this picture so good is the time you chose to take the picture. Lovely sky color and lights, and what a beautiful building it is! |
