Boys will be Boysby jenesisComment: Very nice - and very appropriate title! The duotone treatment works well here, in my opinion. Good in all other aspects (comp, technicals) as your work always is. |

Surf Fishingby LN13Comment: The neat thing about this is seeing the water pull away. Nicely done and good luck in the fairs! |

Frankenmuth Riverboatby taterbugComment: This is a tourist travel bureau picture that could be on the cover of a magazine! Like the way you've composed it and the colors are very rich and vivid without being "overdone". |

I gave this one a bonus point for excellent subject choice. An all time great album. :-) It's an average picture, but well-executed for what it is, if that makes sense.
Read through the comments - got a kick out of the one that refers to it as a "disc". |

Congrats on the top ten! You're just a DPC machine these days... :-) Very clean and crisp, good color contrast, and a pleasing geometric image. Good job slicing the cucumbers as well. Great shot for the challenge, but from a photography perspective, I much prefer the one you didn't enter. |

Landfallby LouisComment: Trading Post commment
A very intriguing picture. On first glance, I don't like the skull there, but after really looking at it for a bit, it does indeed work, althought I think you could have done this more panoramic even at 640. Have the skull be just a bit less "in your face" - more of a subtle discovery as the picture is explored. Blues of the sky and the water are perfectly done. I especially like the single narrow crested wave in the distance. Well seen, well executed. |

Just one more boogie board ride, Mom.by chaliceComment: Trading Post comment
You're on a roll - two new additions to your top row in one week, and good scores on both of them! This shot is one of the benefits of living in Hawaii, no doubt. Lovely colors in the sunset and nice positioning to get the rays from the clouds. I like how you have the horizon very nearly centered, yet the other elements of the picture balance that out nicely. The use of silhouettes over preserving considerable detail in the people serves this picture very well. Nice job! |

Orange Extractionby chaliceComment: Trading Post comment
At first glance, I didn't realize the outer segments were orange sections as well. The desaturation is well done, though I almost think I'd like to see the outer segments partially desaturated - maybe from where they touch the single orange segment have them desaturated as you go out toward the edge of the picture, as though the single segment is sucking the color from the others. I thought it worked well as an abstract. |

A moment in timeby KelliComment: Trading Post comment
Another new top row entry! Congrats on that. This is a very pleasing picture to me on several counts - the colors are soft with the blue not overdone; the composition is very good and very nicely balanced; and the young man is clearly engaged in "the moment", seemingly oblivious to the camera. Underrated and probably my favorite picture of yours to date. |
